Privacy Policy

This explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. AESOFT TECH PTY LTD, 175 Maroondah Hwy, 3134 Ringwood, VIC, AU is the controller of that data. Privacy questions: support@damosx.com.

1. What we collect

Account Email address, display name, country, password (stored only as a hash we cannot reverse), theme preference.
Billing Invoice name, address, tax or VAT number, billing email. We never see or store your card details — those go straight to our payment provider.
Files The control unit files you upload, the modified files we return, and the vehicle and ECU you selected. These are not personal data in themselves, but they are yours and we treat them as confidential.
Sign-in records IP address, the country on your account, browser and device, and the time. Used to secure your account and to detect account sharing. We do not look your IP address up against a location database.
Support Tickets you open and what you write in them.
Cookies A sign-in cookie and a cookie remembering your language. Both are necessary for the site to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2. Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To provide the service — processing your files, running your account. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • To bill you and issue invoices. Basis: contract, and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.
  • To keep the service secure — sign-in records, detecting shared or compromised accounts. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service and other customers.
  • To support you — answering tickets. Basis: contract.
  • To send service messages about your account, an invoice or a file. Basis: contract. These are not marketing and cannot be switched off while you have an account.

3. Who else sees it

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We use these processors:

  • Our hosting and database provider, which stores everything above.
  • Our payment provider, which handles card payments and holds the card data we never receive.
  • Our email provider, which delivers account and invoice emails.
  • The file-processing services that apply the modules. A file sent to one of them is used to produce your result and for no other purpose.

We also disclose data where the law requires it. Some of these providers operate outside your country; where data leaves the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, it is transferred under the safeguards those laws require.

4. How long we keep it

  • Uploaded and processed files — we keep only your five most recent files, on every plan. Processing a sixth deletes the oldest one, both the original and the processed copy, however recently it was uploaded. Always keep your own copy.
  • Invoices and payment records — for as long as accounting and tax law requires, which is normally several years, even after you close your account.
  • Account and sign-in records — while your account is open, and for a short period afterwards.
  • Tickets — while they are useful for support, then deleted with your account.

5. Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. What happens depends on your history:

  • If you were never invoiced, everything is removed.
  • If you have invoices, we must keep them and the payments that settled them — that is a legal obligation we cannot contract out of. Your files, your history, your tickets, your messages and your login record are destroyed, and your account itself is anonymised. An invoice, by law, shows who it was issued to — so the name, address, tax number and email that were on each invoice at the time remain on that invoice. We cannot remove them and keep a valid accounting record.

Your stored files are deleted in both cases.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your data, subject to the accounting records above;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • send your data to another provider in a portable form.

Write to support@damosx.com and we will answer within one month. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom you may complain to your data protection authority; in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

7. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored as hashes. Access to production data is limited to those who need it. Files are stored in access-controlled storage and are not public. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the relevant authority if a breach affects you and the law requires it.

8. Children

The service is for businesses and adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will tell account holders. The date at the top always shows the current version.
